Business Need
The Company had multiple Point of Sale (POS) data capture environments that
provided only 45 days of detail transactional history for reporting and analytic
purposes. Additional data was available at aggregated levels that were not really
helpful.
There was no ability to correlate between transactional detail and Franchisee
reporting and to validate if the numbers are correct to articulate Loss Prevention.
The time to deliver any meaningful reporting to executives was time consuming and
cumbersome and in some cases after the need had passed.
